HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF NAVY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION?


Like other credit unions, you must meet the membership conditions to join.

For NFCU, you are eligible if you belong to any of the following:

• Active duty service member (of any branch of the armed forces including the Coast Guard, National Guard, and Space Force)

• Delayed Entry Program (DEP)

• Department of Defense (DoD) Officer Candidate/ROTC

• DoD Reservists

• Veterans, retirees, or annuitants

Your immediate family and household members may also join:

• Parents

• Grandparents

• Spouses

• Children (including adopted & stepchildren)

• Grandchildren

• Siblings

• Household members (of the same address, including roommates)

WHAT DO I NEED TO OPEN THE ACCOUNT?

• Social Security number

• Government ID or license (DD214 forms have also been accepted)

• Current address

• Bank account and routing number, or credit card to fund your account

• There is a $5 minimum balance requirement to create a Membership Savings Account to create and sustain your membership.

Once you become a member, all NFCU products and service are available to you.
